Hello, I was diving in the Florida Keys this weekend and found a ceramic turtle with your e mail address on it. I found it on the City of Washington wreck site. What's up?

Hi Charles,
Wow that was quick! I just hid that piece last Tuesday afternoon. I love diving and I love making pottery so I have decided to hide some of the pottery I make everywhere I dive. I hope you will accept it as a gift from one diver to another. You can't buy my pottery, you can only find it. That sort of makes it rare and hard to get. Hopefully one day my pottery will be famous and you will have a real treasure. So far only three people have my work and you are one of them. I am sending you a picture of your pottery in it's underwater hiding spot as a certificate or authenticity.
Thank you for taking the time to write to me and let me know that you had found it.

Hi Wanda!,
What a cool idea! I was stoked to find it and was unsure what I was looking at when I first saw it. The vis on that site was at least 100' plus the day and I spotted it. I saw it at the very beginning of my dive. Thanks for the wonderful gift and keep up the good work. BTW, what kind of underwater camera do you have?? The pic you sent me of the turtle came out great! The detail is amazing! Thanks again for being so thoughtful.

Hi Wanda,
Hello again, hope all is well with you. I am departing for Belize this Friday. I am going to be on a liveaboard boat, the Nekton for a week
diving the reefs around central Belize. I am going to take your ceramic turtle that I found in the Keys in June and set her free. Hopefully, another
lucky diver will find her and report back to you as I did. This is my first out of country dive trip and I am looking forward to it. If you like you can check out the Nekton site at www.nektoncruises.com they have been rated the #1 liveaboard by Rodales year after year. Have a good week.
Happy Diving,
Chuck B.

Hi Wanda,
The trip to Belize was awesome! I made a total of twenty five dives doing as many as five dives a day. ( I was diving NITROX) which is $125 extra. The Nekton is a nice boat and with all the great diving and the good food, it is a good value for the money. I would do it again. I left your turtle on a dive site called Que Brada on the 13th of Nov. I am including a link to the pic I took of it. There was so much marine life to identify and look at. There was a Wall on every dive. The crew on board waited on you hand and foot and the food was great. Basically all you do all day is eat and dive. The fifth dive of the day is a night dive, saw a lot of Tarpon on the night dives, they loved to get close to you. No Sharks though.
Here is the pic. Let me know when she is found.
Best Regards,
Chuck Bethune
